Smart Traffic

The social and economic challenges of the 21st century and the desire to create a sustainable and predictable future led to the creation and use of “smart city” concepts, which are facilitated by the development and spread of the latest information and communication technologies. An essential element of “smart city” concepts is “smart transport”, also known as “smart mobility”, which can include, for example, the intelligent management of the public transport vehicle fleet, the introduction of electronic ticket systems and multimodal navigation systems, the construction of traffic management and traffic monitoring systems, the intelligent coordination of traffic lights, the management of parking spaces, the distribution of self-driving vehicles and many other services that make urban transport easier or more optimised.
